Acquiring more properties for social housing, is one of LATCH's strategic aims and is embedded in our vision and mission.

Our intention is to bring properties back into use as part of a community self build programme involving service users, volunteers and trainees. We will make environmentally sustainable construction a key feature of this work by using materials and where feasible technologies and crafts that will minimise our impact on the environment.
Essentially, the expansion programme is about providing homes and skills to people who, for whatever reasons, find it difficult to access education, training and employment. The programme will also help towards LATCH's own sustainability adding to our property portfolio and increasing our standing as a community based provider of social housing and support.
