‘LATCH wants a society where people who are homeless are provided with safe and secure housing and are helped to become confident and independent through skill development and self-help.’
Mission Statement
- Acquire more properties so we can help people to create homes for themselves
- Build confidence through the provision of work experience and skill development
- Create positive change by providing support and opportunities for involvement in the organisation
Core Values
Our mission statement is informed by certain core values which are implicit in the way the organisation works. LATCH prides itself as an organisation which:
- Promotes a person centred and holistic approach to working with service users
- Encourages and enables self-help and independence
- Aims to foster a democratic and participatory approach in all aspects of it’s work
- Supports the community in which it works
- Challenges issues that perpetuate poverty, discrimination and disadvantage in the local community
- Seeks to ensure and promote the effective and efficient use of resources in a way that causes minimal environmental impact
