Supported Housing Scheme
LATCH runs a supported housing scheme where we provide accommodation for up to 35 people.
The scheme is available to people who are homeless or in very difficult housing circumstances and want to work with us to improve their life circumstances.
We can house single people and families.
We will accept self-referrals and agency referrals
As we only have a small number of properties, places on this scheme are limited, however we may be able to help find alternative accommodation through our floating support service and new connections with the private rented sector.
Lauren's story
In September 2004 Lauren found herself homeless. She was also expecting a baby. After being placed in various hostels which she found extremely stressful this is what she has to say about LATCH…
LATCH contacted me after I had filled in application form and I agreed to meet up with them for a chat. I was very nervous and apprehensive about the meeting but was immediately put at ease by my support worker. I moved into my new home in after spending a month on my mum’s sofa. Since receiving help and support from LATCH, my life has completely turned around. My support worker helped and encouraged me to get back into education.
Before receiving support from LATCH I had low self-confidence. I have now moved onto independent accommodation after graduating with a Psychology degree from Leeds Metropolitan University. My daughter Isabelle is now 7 years old.
LATCH is a truly remarkable organisation, and I feel that there are so many people that could benefit from the amazing members of staff that are always ready to help.
